American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6 am–5 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Las Américas bakery at (610) 419-4366; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Bethlehem is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Bethlehem is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They treat me differently for speaking English..I speak a little Spanish. It's a tragedy the way the Spanish restaurants around here treat me, meanwhile I'm a huge activist for equal rights. Equal rights means treating EVERYONE nicely. Seriously, do some self reflection.

I called to order a tre leche cake n the woman answered in Spanish. I told her in English I would like to order a tre leche cake, which is what their website said was a specialty of theirs. The woman paused n said no n hung up on me. Very rude n not the way to handle a language barrier if ur running a business!!
